HTC Vive Recalibration Prompt Can NOT Be Dismissed

Which VR Platform are you using? Steam VR
Which part of the game is the issue happening in? Hangar / Briefing Room
What were you doing when the bug occurred? Step by Step detail is helpful. PC Steam VR with HTC Vive Any time I enter a ship from the hangar the VR cockpit loads fine (forward is forward) but there is a prompt that says "Look forward and hold {MENU BUTTON} to recalibrate your headset" that can not be dismissed. Have tried every button on the Vive Controllers (in addition to the Menu Button indicated), every button on my game pad, and every button on my keyboard & mouse. NOTHING dismisses this message and it will not allow me to launch. I have not been in the game yet! Just the menus and cut scenes. I am about to request a refund unless this is fixed promptly.
Where did this issue occur? Please include menu name or in game location. Entering the cockpit from the hangar. Cannot leave the hangar due to this issue.

What happens when the bug occurs? A recalibration prompt that can not be dismissed.
What do you expect to see? I expected to be able to press & hold the controller menu button to dismiss the message and play the game.
Which ship were you playing? If not applicable, just answer "no" or "none." TIE Fighter. First mission story mode.
What components were you using? HTC Vive, Vive Controllers, Game Pad, Keyboard & Mouse
Which customizations (if any) were you using? None
