All, I am getting the following error having just installed (and paid for!) the Star Wars: Squadrons. The dll file in question is actually present in the game's directory after installation (approx 1.2MB). I tried to repair the game and reinstall it to no avail. I also looked for the "missing" dll hoping to download and replace. I had tried a couple of download sites but the files were always much smaller and consequently were not recognized by the game. I am running the game as admin by the way.Anybody else has that problem with Squadrons? Any sight of a fix?RegardsGR

I'm having this same problem. I've reinstalled my graphics drivers. Re-downloaded and re-installed the game. Same results each time. I haven't been able to get the game to run no matter what I do. Any suggestions???

@geraltr74 Solved roll back you gfx drives i rolled mine back to one released in early September it is now working fine

I have the same problem. It started by telling me I need up update my geforce drivers then once i did that it gives me this error.

Can others confirm if rolling back vid drivers helped?

I was able to play Squadron yesterday just fine, Updated Nvidia drivers last night and today I get the same error reported in this thread.
Ran a repair on the game without any luck. Will try a reboot then roll back vid drivers (pita...) What the crap does the video driver have to do with whatever the licensing error is?

Reboot, no change.
Turned off firewall, no change.
Rolled back Nvidia drivers to 12/3 ver, no change.

I fought with this for hours and finally gave up, and rolled back to a backup prior to the issue.... It has been fine ever since (knocks on wood)... Sorry I don't have any other solution to share.

I did some before and after testing and determined that in my case something about the video editor (VSDC) breaks the Origin 'anti-cheat' software. Or VSDC is malware or something?

If you use something like REVO-Uninstaller before you install vsdc, then you can roll-back. Otherwise, I had to restore from a backup.
I've reached out to VSDC and if they share anything useful, I will come back here to share.

I finally was able to fix my issue. I installed both the 32 bit and 64 bit version of Visual C++ Then, since I purchased through Epic Games, allowed the Epic Games launcher install the Origin Client. After that the game worked. Hope that helps someone
