Reinstalled Fallen Order to test to see if I had the issue as a friend of mine was, and YUP. No issues with BF2 or Sims which I have through Steam but Star Wars will not work. Launching from Steam it tries to load and doesnt work. After a minute i get "your game failed to launch" in the EA App. Fallen Order also does NOT show as installed on the left hand side of the app. I can locate it in my library in the app but of course it says to DL it through Steam. It seems that the app is just not picking up that the game has been installed. But no issues with other EA games... Account is linked and the game works without issue on Steam Deck for me and my friend.
I don't know if you have your steam library on a separate drive like I do. Try moving your game to the boot drive. As stupid as that seems, that is what worked for me. I have a separate drive specifically for my games, so that my boot drive isn't filled to the brim with these huge games. The EA app cannot see Jedi Fallen Order if it's on a different drive than C. Absolutely stupid bug.

@Phox345dang man. I was hoping it would work for others. Only other thing I found was to add a rule to the environment variables of your PC. According to someone on Reddit, this worked.
https://www.reddit.com/r/FallenOrder/comments/q8sc0w/fallen_order_not_launching_working_2021_fix/Hopefully EA will get their app fixed and we won't have to scour the depths of the internet for scraps of information to get our games working.

I already had my game install in C so I tried moving it to the folder that has my SWBF2 and Sims 4, unfortunately that did nothing.
EDIT: Tried what was in the Reddit post and it did not work. This is ridiculous considering I had it working before and I know others were playing it just before this started.
- 3 years ago@norsewarrior87 Ill give it a shot after work. Really surprised something like this isn't fixed. Makes me uneasy about getting Star Wars Jedi Survivor for Steam when it comes out.

A terrible company like this knows that the only way it can compete with Steam is to break the games they publish on Steam and force users to buy new games from the EA app. It's worse than Epic and their exclusive deals to keep games off Steam and force gamers onto the Epic Game Store.
EA will never fix this issue and the support are just going to ignore our requests for help from now on.

So still not working for me, tried reinstalling the game from Steam while the EA was open, nothing, made sure it was up to date, and reinstalled the EA App all together, nothing. I have the game in the same folder I have BF2 and Sims so there has got to be something missing that lets the app know when a game from another store is meant to appear in the app. This is ridiculous, I am not buying the next game or any EA game for that matter if this is going to happen.

Yea I'm having the same problems launching the game since the EA Launcher. Just says "Your game failed to launch, an error on our end caused your launch to fail try again a little later fallen order" and I can do absolutely nothing about it.

Same here impossible to start the game from the Steam Launcher. I have the same error.
