@slenkharTotally agree. This game needs better optimization. Ryzen 3900X 32GB RAM @3600 and a RTX 2080 Super with an Oculus Quest 2 and no matter Oculus Link with Oculus SDK or Virtual Desktop with SteamVR... this game's VR performance is just PATHETIC. Nor even with all settings on LOW and SS at 0.8 the game runs smooth. There are constant hitches/stutter. And what's with that 240p stars background? are you for real? this is 2020 ffs, can't you even fix that $hit?

Mine worked find in VR (Quest 2 with link) until after the Nov. 4th update. Now after dying the first time in fleet battles everything gets choppy and unplayable. Also in story, after I finish a mission, my keyboard and flightstick do not function on the next mission.
- 5 years ago@narkohol The star background is on their list of things to do in VR, but the problem is waaaay deeper than this. I'd really appreciate an official answer here, at least recognition that yes, it is poorly optimised for PC. Stutter, ghosting, poor performance on every hardware out there. So sad for such an exciting dogfighting game

It's now been 2 weeks without an official reply to this thread or anything related to this issue on official channels, tweeter or other.
I am feeling pretty disappointed in the lack of acknowledgement so far, and am looking forward to being shown wrong in my suspicion that they just made a quick buck and now don't give a damn about anything the player base is concerned about.
Game concept is brilliant, PC VR has a serious lack of optimisation, it is ruining/tainting the experience that was advertised as "VR from the ground up", which isn't the case, it's an afterthought on PC, it doesn't run well on any system.

I want to confirm that I have serious issues especially during fleet battles. I can run the game in story and Dogfights on Ultra. Fleet battles are constantly* crashing and causing errors.
I use an Oculus Rift S. I play on a Laptop which is definitely not high end but runs any kind of VR application like butter.
I also tried like any kind of possible fixes propagated here or on reddit. Nothing did even a slight change (maybe supersampling in the tray tool at 1.1 or 1.2 making it a bit smoother but not much).
*By constantly I mean in most of the cases. Sometimes I can play without ANY issues. And then there are times where I have to restart the game like 5 times before it runs smoothly. Judging by this I can say that it is not related to insufficient hardeware/configuration on my end...
