Hi all. I am running around in circles with this problem and it's driving me insane - hope someone out there can help! Background. Bought Star Wars Battlefront Nov 2015 - all ok no problem - gam...

I don't know which post to click on as the solution.
Without the CBS fix - I'm not sure the Clean Boot would have worked properly and without the Clean Boot fix I wouldn't have identified the GameFirst programme!
Can I click on 2 posts as 'solutions'? I don't want to deny either of you credit for the solution as your combined efforts solved the problem!
What should I do?

Hi @StevoBergkamp and we're welcome my friend 🙂

1.In Safe Mode I think the notification saying something about to update your ethernet driver🤔You need to check this more likely.

2.You need to do this add firewall/antivirus exceptions for Origin and open the needed ports http://help.ea.com/en/article/connection-issues-with-origin/#1

Follow instructions above to open TCP or UDP ports for Star Wars:Battlefront for PC.

TCP- 3569, 9946, 9988, 10000 - 29999, 42100-42200

UDP- 3659, 9565, 9570, 9000-9999

3.We are on the right track,now go in Origin / My Games tab right click on the game SW:B, select Game Properties, and tick disable Origin In Game.

4.Then run a repair on the game by right clicking the game tile in Origin client and selecting the Repair Game option followed by Check for Updates.

Just to update you - I have repeated the msconfig solution several times and the game works fine every time.

Obviously this isn't a permanent solution but I havent had time yet to try your suggestions from your last reply.

I will hopefully be able to try this week.
