Re: Clans, Clans, Clans!

@CA1-PAINLESS
I’m not blaming VR the lack of clan support but there is no way you can deny that VR takes budget away from games, meaning funds that would go on a ton of features are instead spent on making VR work. Just look at the big name VR games, they build stand alone versions for a reason.

This isn’t like Battlefield or CoD where it is built 90% multiplayer, it’s the other way around. Why do people seem to think it’s built purely for the multiplayer??

It’s a single player game in which they have added a small multiplayer on the side, nothing more.

    VR did not use up budget since VR was part of the original scope of the game. If VR had been added in later on, as added scope then you could make the case of "VR using up budget".  But this is very different . This a VR game that allows you to go on a normal screen if you chose to do so.

    VR was an ESSENTIAL part of the feature set of this project. This game's primary mission has always been immersion, and you need VR to attain the level of immersion which the Devs were going for.  Hopefully, you have a VR system to play this on, or else, IMO, you are missing out.

    You’re right, VR has been their focus for this game and likely wouldn’t have been made otherwise, but at the same time people shouldn’t expect many features because of that, or at least extra features etc.

    I don’t have VR and I likely never will because I just don’t think the quality of games are there yet. I’m not against it and would love to try it out tho because I can see the fun side of it.

    I also played this game without VR and it’s great, I enjoyed it a lot. I think VR could expand that experience but for me it’s not worth buying VR for one game.

  • @CarbonCarl  Ian just tweeted about this actually. Was he looking in here I wonder ?

    He said it was built with BOTH formats (Single Screen and VR) in mind from the ground up. -Just to Clarify  🙂

    So we are both right.

    Haha that's funny, he's been spying on us!

    I think we will all enjoy it no matter which way we choose to play, and if the community is anything like these Star Wars forums then we will all have a blast! 🙂
