I spoke with EA about the problem. Here is the conversation. Sorry if the images arent in order. I did this on my phone.
Thank you for this. They told us that the same thing days ago and they still haven't updated except the patch notes.

I tried to attach more than one file. Whatever. They basically said "let me see if i can fix your problem" then they said "let me speak to the game team" then they said "we are aware of the issue as we are getting many of the same contacts. They are diligently working on a fix. It will be fixed as soon aa possible. Keep an eye out for twitter." This is BS. I dont know why i got this game on Day 1. I got it for rank. I like games that have a rank for online play. Obviously I didnt get it for a campaign. On the verge of disputing the charge with my bank gor a faulty product. They marketed a competitive edge and I got a story that's basically a glorified tutorial. Really a shame considering the game is fun.

But the way the convo went, it seems they really do know about the problem now and really are trying to fix it. The issue isnt affecting 100k people so I dont think they realized the problem extended past placement matches, until after the patch. I'm expecting a fix within the next two days. The problem is a skill rating of 0 shouldn't even be in the game as the lowest rank recognized begins at 1. Even if u bomb every game u arent meant to go under 1. I know this isn't the worst issue but after enjoying the game AND THEN encountering the issue I am just disappointed. EA seems more willing then ever to fix their games but the problem is I am not waiting one month. I wont play until there is a rank as I dont like playing online for no reason. If the fix takes too long I am getting a refund somehow. Even if I have to take it to the bank because you know damn well I am not getting it from EA.

@aodoctavium How long though? It's bad enough they allowed this be released broken and it's taking them this long to fix this.
How do we fix this?!
@J0k3rB4tm4n We can't and we can't even start over. Everything depends on Motive doing their part in fixing this.
