[Solved] FPS drop on a mid to high end gaming PC. (Star Wars: Battlefront)

    If you are getting a consistent 60 FPS when you are running around, and then encounter high activity, a drop to 45-50 FPS sounds very normal.

    Even though this is normal, I think there could be an issue caused by the Overlay program you are using to see your frames.  I would start by disabling this.  Follow the steps below, and this is a way to see your frames in-game, thru the game console, so no overlay is needed:

    1.  While in-game press the ` key (it is the key to the left of 1 and right above Tab

    2.  Type in PerfOverlay.DrawFps 1

    3.  Press "Enter"

    4.  Press the ` key again to close the console

    You will now see your frame rate displayed in the top-right corner of the screen.  If your frame rate is alot more stable now, let me know.  I can give you the steps so that this command will load each time you start the game, so you don't have to do the steps every time you play.
