I have both Epic and Steam versions and tried both. The game starts (EAC spash screen disapears and I get the Octagon/Circle screen with the blinking dots in the square) and then it returns to desktop.The Epic version is tied into the EA app (the EA app launches the game) while the Steam version doesn't show up in the EA app.I don't think the issue is the EAC as one poster on Steam mentioned swaping the exe files which doesn't launch the EAC.I have removed all other running programs except for Steam, EA and Epic.

Repair/Verify your game based on which client you are launching from EA App - Repair (My Collection > Tile Dots > Repair) EGS - Repair (Library > Tile dots > Manage > Verify) Steam - Verify in your library EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery) Connection and Advance Connection Guides Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance Run the System File Checker tool then Check for Windows and GPU updates Check Drivers, Default to High-Performance GPU: Troubleshooting Graphics issues Restart your device in Clean Boot mode, then just try running the client and game Cheers!

None of those suggestions made a difference.

Hi @mikeha4, Would it be possible to test on a different account/user on the device and seeing if this happens?

I created a new Windows user and had the same effect.I do note that when I tried to start the game on my old laptop it worked and didn't show the octagon/circle load page but went right into selecting the accessibility options.The game is creating CrashDump files (about 2.5 MB each) after each crash. Do you have the capability to debug MDMP files?

I opened the debug files in Visual Studios and the error is "The Thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access"Google shows me various possible fixes. I tried changing my memory timing to default 2400 MHz with no effect.I'm trying various things now but if anyone has any insight I'd love some.

I haven't had Origins installed for a while now. I just checked and I do not have any remnants of it on my system..
I tried unlinking my EA account with both Steam and Epic. When I launch the Steam version of the game it doesn't ask to link my EA account (still fails) and my Epic version asks to link the account and I redid that but it also failed to launch.

No luck creating a new user. I had already tried that but I upgraded the user to an admin and set all my privacy settings to default. I also logged into windows (I normally run a local account) and made sure OneDrive was working (it's normally working but I don't use it). Nothing has changed to crashdump error message.

Hey, @EA_Illium, what would it take to convince EA to allocate some resources to get this game a patch to fix the bugs and review the balance and quality of life requests that have been made?
