Star Cards randomly activating?

I just started playing Battlefront on PS4 and my Star Cards (the special abilities) will just activate randomly! I'll just be running around and then all of a sudden I'll throw a grenade or pull out ...

    *SOLUTION*
    So Reddit has figured out the problem for us. Go into settings in battlefront and turn off your touch pad gestures. It seems that we have been accidentally touching it the whole time. It worked for me!

Same thing is happening to me on ps4. Just as described in the original post. Star cards activate by themselves and quite frequently. Makes it hard to play.
