I think that was intended more to counter criticism that EA has taken in recent releases for
1) locking release content behind a pay-wall (such as Season Passes),
2) Loot Boxes, and
3) "Pay-to-win" type DLC, such as things to unlock upgrades, etc, without playing the game.
It was all to increase "dollars after purchase" because that's where they ended up making big bucks. Still, I like what I see from this game so far and hope to see more.
Of course, I could be wrong. I am ready to pay for expansions, sequels, DLC, call it as you want, I repeat it: I love this game and I am ready to pay for more.
I am for it if we get TRACK IR support and more devices to select. 3 devices are too few for me!!
If we tell them, it will be done? Maybe. I have asked, begged, pleaded, nagged, trolled Dev Teams for all kinds of stuff before, with varying degrees of success. A guy I know used to be an Executive Producer at EA. I will have to ask him to shed light on how to be an effective EA Dev Team Whisperer. 😃
I'm impressed with Star Wars Squadrons. Yes, the Dev Team delivered what I expected and I'm very pleased. Still, it's only natural to want more of a good thing. I like these dreams of hardcore modes, expansions, B Wings, TIE Defenders, sequels and all.
This game has a ton of potential for further development, and it would be malpractice by EA to just leave it as-is rather than offer further expansions.
I totally disagree. DLC does not have to be cancer if done right. They put out a solid game however, this game could defiantly benefit from DLC. More ships...more skins...more game modes...extended story and more maps. Even more in the character customization for you face and uniforms. Not to mention support for guilds/clans, your own customized hanger etc... When DLC is down right its not to fix games its to add to games You could even look at this as expansion pack if your not comfortable with the world DLC. So ya im an old gamer and I did play when games came out complete and there were added too the way it should be. Imagine a expansion pack for clone wars ships and skins ! etc... EA has a hit on there hands I believe if they keep adding to it at the very least more maps and game modes. But if it just stays like this the player bases will eventually get bored and leave only leaving the hardcore fans.
Fully agree, the downside is that EA or motive does not respond to any of the topics concerning additional content other then, I will pass it on to the team.....
DLC is Downloadable Content
Expansion packs were paid for additional content.
They sound the same to me!!! :-)
Either way Yes we need more of it!!!!
Preferably free or reasonably priced at worst!!!

I'm sure there is some sort of plan in place - but they are likely waiting to see how things went with regard to general sales and what kind of support the community is showing.
I, for one, would love to see additional single-player story-related content, as well as additional ships - You know you want B-Wings and TIE-Advanced.
...And TIE-Defenders, of course.I think the plan is, if this game does well, they're going to make a bigger and better Squadrons 2 for next gen consoles. They're not doing anymore development on Squadrons 1 because we're at the end of life for current gen consoles.
It's obviously just my optimistic guess, and I could be totally wrong.
- @BluesyMoo They could come with something though. Whatever next gen game Motive is working on we know nothing about. They could delay that new game by a year and we would never no. Squadrons is now. They should come with atleast one nice pack... Add two more ships and a little more content.
