We all have two things in common. We played the game before and rebuilt our machines with an Intel i7 12700K or KF.
Same issue here, my processor: i5-12600K
I can get the game to run by restarting my computer. After a restart, the game will boot up the first time I run it, but it will hit the access exception every time after that until I restart again.
Note: Mine is essentially a new PC which has never run squadrons previously.
Hi all,
I have good news and bad news:
i will begin with the good.
i menage to get it work it seems.
and the bad news:
you need to update your system to windows 11
i did the mistake to update to windows 11 but now the game is working every time for now 😀
hope its helping you too
Haha I'm not ready for 11 yet. Any ideas @EA_Barry?
Same issue as well, same scenario - recently upgraded my PC with 12600KF, Squadrons won't run and just quietly closes after the easy anti-cheat splash screen.
not saying this is a solution, but i was having the same issue with easy anticheat loading then game dropping, so i made another windows user and that fixed, now, i noticed on the new user, the one drive was active whereas on the previous user it was not. Upon reloaded one drive to the user that had the problem the game worked fine. Just a heads up if you have one drive disabled for whatever reason this might be the issue.
Best of luck
That's very interesting. I enabled OneDrive again but the game still doesn't load.
I fixed this issue by disabling virtualization in the BIOS. Which is ridiculous. I shouldn't have to disable that to play a game. @EA_Barry
Turns out I can only play after a reboot.
- @Botamis can you try install windows 11?
It works for me
