U-wing and Y-wing in Dogfights

Hi guys, how do you use U-Wing and Y-Wing in Dogfight mode? I know Imps Bomber can be quite lethal if used properly but I have not personally experienced U-Wing and Y-Wing being exponentially powerful against the opposing force.

Would like to hear from experienced PVP players how they would recommend new players to use U-Wing and Y-Wing in PVP Dogfight mode.

  • When it comes to U-Wings I suppose you should focus on the team kill counter and not on how high up you are on the scoreboard. I’m sure there are a few people that can shoot down loads of Ties in one, but I’d say generally you won’t get many kills yourself, and that should probably not be your goal anyways. The U-Wing is a support class, so load it up with support droids, ally shields or whatever you think you need to help your teammates stay alive long enough to get the upper hand on the imps. Set your target wheel to allies, stay as close to them as you can and start serving the fighters.

  • @Reposter I'll share this regarding the U-Wing/Tie-Reaper. As 'Prof_Moriarty79' mentioned, use it to heal teammates, but I also use the Target Beacon to mark enemies for increased damage. I manage a few kills where I can but support is the role. As for Y-Wing, haven't used it in Dogfight yet but will give it a try.
  • So far the Y-Wing is my favorite ship in dogfight mode. I use it with Ion turret and Mine. Enemy Interceptors really want you to get 110% out of your ship to survive so remember to use engine power when dogfighting those. The mine really shines here, just make the interceptor chase you and drop the mine at a choke point = 1 hit kill the interceptor.

Hope this helps. Greetings to all you support and bomber players, you are the best.

    Cheers!
