UI Bugs/Glitches - Missing HUD features

@Kj-ZoSo I've seen some edge cases where wiping the local settings file helped. This was for a different game, but a similar issue (reinstalling origin usually did the trick there too)

If you go to My Documents\STAR WARS Battlefront\settings, make a backup then delete the files there, does that have any effect?

@EA_David Thanks for the suggestion, I tried backing up the data in my documents folder and deleting it, uninstalled and reinstalled Origin, set up my game settings again, went into the game but unfortunately the problem still exists. :-/

You could also restart with a Clean Boot and try temporarily disabling the your anti-virus when you try a fresh install?

These reinstalls are of Origin, the game itself shouldn't need to be reinstalled. 

@EA_David I hadn't tried the reinstalls exactly like that before, or with the clean boot and temporary anti-virus deactivation during Origin installation. So I followed both guides, but when the game starts up you can tell instantly the map is mostly plain, no uplink directional icons and such, and no player health bars.

I think the game looks better without the health bars floating around everywhere, more realistic (option to turn those on and off in the suggestion box please), but the onscreen icons specifically are critical to the game objective.

Have you tried Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU)?

@R2RIO72 Thanks for the program link, I have tried that in the past, and it stopped the game crashing with an NVidia driver kernel error, and when I found out about it I suggested it to other players in the main game forum. But it doesn't seem to have effected the missing HUD info.

I've tried all sorts of options in the NVidia control panel (disable SLI, single display, multi display, compatibility mode...), disabling Windows desktop features like Aero and gone basic, tried various compatibility modes, nothing is helping.

Also tried various options in a cfg file, and added the command line "-novid -noborder -windowed" in Origin which helps with other problems. Still nothing helps this problem. Has anyone else had more luck?

As well as no uplink icons or full map info not showing, there's no targeting icon when flying in fighters, so I can see what I'm supposed to be shooting at all.

A Google search will reveal that not only have consumers suffered the same problems with this game SWBF 2015, and Battlefield 4 in 2013, but also Battlefield 3 released way back in 2011.

Google those games and any issues you're having to see if there are any working resolutions to your problems, and report back here any that worked for you for others to try.

It seems Frostbite engine games are just not going to work properly or get fixed by the developers, nor is there much help to be had from the publishers. But they will sell more DLC and sequels for you to buy based on the same broken engine, and lock threads for using all capital letters according to forum rules, or tell you the thread is too old and it's "cool" to start a new one.

Not spamming, posting this in threads I've had issues with to let others know to broaden their research to older broken games and not to restrict their hopes to only the most recent broken release's issue reporting.
