VR in Quest 2 Performs Abysmally

Ive been playing this game since release on an Asus WMR headset with no issues whatsoever, performance has been absolutely fine on high/ultra graphical settings.

Ive just upgraded to an oculus quest 2 and the performance has gone down the toilet.

As soon as i load in to the game the menu hanger looks weird, as i move my head around things wobble and shake about. Ive only tried loading in to practice mode so far and theres a similar effect and theres a noticeable lag in refresh rate, the frame rate seems awful and makes me feel ill.

Ive tried setting all graphics settings to low to compensate, and set the quest to prioritise performance over quality but nothing seems to help.

  • @asheler spent about two hours playing this evening in single player and online, performed much smoother for me, had the odd choppy patch during busy dogfights with lots of particles but overall this seems to have fixed the issue for me for now.

@kid fisto I tested disabling the oculus audio for both the mic and headphones but it made no difference for me. No matter what I change, it only affects the visual quality and performance remains the same. But, it wasn’t this bad before last week either. I don’t know what else to try other than wait for another patch but I don’t know if they can tell what my version of this issue is...
