What was the thought proccess behind the "heroes" in MP?

So I'm curious.. does anyone find it fun with the "elite heroes" in multiplayer? random spawning in and just killing everyone.. one shotting.. it's imo so frickin boring.

Was that the best idea EA could come up with to force in the famous characters from the SW universe?

Why do they have to be so damn OP? Make them more common on less powerful instead, that way we get to see them more often (whjich is cool) but it's not insta-gib.

That's a relic from the older Battlefront games. I have fond memories of playing Battlefront 2 against friends on splitscreen Xbox, and having one of them suddenly spawn as Mace Windu to wipe the floor with me until I figured out how to kill him.
