Probably good at forgetting what angle it's at and smacking into debris.
Sounds cool enough though, I don't think any game has ever implemented the gyroscopic feature before, other than opening and closing S-Foils.
- Heavy Gunship playstyle, back-line fighter
- Low maneuverability, relies on boosting/drifting to move and turn efficiently
- High durability and primary damage output, explosive capital ship damage and built-in ion cannons
- Relies on Support/allies to reach capital ships and survive while dealing damage
- Ideal for staying back behind Fighters/Interceptors and laying down heavy fire on enemy ships
- Unique component: Ion Beam
- Deals massive ion damage to capital ship shields and subsystems
- Unique component: Gyro/Aux Control Module
- Allows gyroscopic cockpit roll while holding the auxiliary button, rotating the entire ship around your cockpit. Wing angle determines bomb release angle. Missile evasion is also increased while gyroscopic roll is in motion.
- Also increases ammo count for auxiliaries that use ammo; otherwise, improves auxiliary cooldown rate.
What bombs got to staying back behind??

You can go forward when your side has air supremacy.

Bomb drop angle is no argument, you can simply roll your ship in the right direction. Missile evasion might be neat, but then again, if I rely on boosting/drifting anyway, I don't see this being needed. The only purpose to pick gyroscopic:
- Also increases ammo count for auxiliaries that use ammo; otherwise, improves auxiliary cooldown rate.
Having 60 (? might be even more, not sure) barrage missiles is pretty much the end of every Raider and can do severe dmg to an ISD.
Just flew some practice course yesterday, and so far I can't confirm low maneuverability, turn rate was pretty good, especially when boost/drifting. Firepower also looked good, the combo of ion- and laserguns is nice (though I'd still prefer it being like in the old games where ion canons were looked to specific ships and you could switch to lasers anytime during the fight) and hits quite hard. What's really really really anoying though, is the incredibly low speed. I can see the B-Wing work in preset teams, but it's definetly no ship for random matches.
