This is also pissing me off. I have two young sons who play split screen and I paid for outer rim and ...nothing. Are there any extra maps available by DLC that can be played offline.

This was a free download correct? Which means we already have it. I actually paid for outer rim. I have no desire to expose my kids to internet trolls and pervs hence my desire for offline content.
You can turn of communications by using the "hide" option for communications in game options.
Is the Battle of Jakku only available with the deluxe edition? I am not seeing it or any evidence of it including in the PSN store except in a mention in the deluxe edition.
