Will Squadrons support Flight Sticks!!!

I have flightsticks (HOTAS) for PC and XBox One X. They work great but the last Star Wars game to support them was X-Wing Alliance. Will this new game FINALLY add support for a flightstick and throttle? It is ridiculous to control ships with the little hand controller thumbsticks. Come on EA/DICE. Its probably a small subroutine to support filghtsticks. Your programmers might have the chops to do it if they are worth anything.

@Sunsdune29 Ah ok, then yeh I can't see why they wouldn't support HOTAS in star wars squadrons. 👍

@tiggermorgan Regardless of what is announced for supported HOTAS sticks, good luck getting hold of anything soon! With the latest flight simulator release Joysticks that are half decent are all out of stock in the UK! I’m almost certain this game will also add to that huge demand so it’d be good to know what is supported to get an order in, need to have full immersion in VR for when this launches :0)

@CarbonCarl The Series X has been stated to have "Full Compatibility" with current XBox One peripherals. So it should. If they think forcing console players to use thumbsticks to fly is fun, remove HOTAS support from the PC version and make them fly with their keyboards only. See how many copies of the game they sell then!

@Sunsdune29 Yeh valid points about the controllers, I wasn't aware of the reasons behind using them but what you say makes sense. 👍

@DIRTONAFrook Hey don't hate kb/m, that's all I use haha but I know what you mean, for this sort of game and this generation pretty much everything should be supported across the board.

I too have a thrustmaster hostas light stick that doesn't seem to be supported by my Xbox One X. However it does work as long as the controller power is on. As soon as it turns off due to lack of play the fight stick does as well. And you can't scroll with the flight stick on the options menu you have to use the controller. I'm very confused and frustrated
