Game won't launch syncs with cloudthen does the first load box then just closes and i can click play again, restarted computer, verified files... updated game.still doesn't want to let me play..

@EA_AticAnother stupid 'community blah blah' just to gain some time...lots of people are having the same issue as OP said.I have the recommended specs, newest GPU drivers (Nvidia ones, the ones for Jedi Fallen Order), updated Windows etc.Tried to run the game as administrator (even from the exe file). Nothing helped; when running from Origin its window disappears, the game process appears (checked) for a while, then shuts itself down and Origin window reappears. Turning off my antivirus, firewall didn't help either. Please inform the specific Jedi Fallen Order PC technical team about this issue.

I've disabled everything I can think of, and added anything related to Origin to the exceptions list in Windows Defender, but no luck. I click play, it syncs with the cloud, origin minimizes, I stare at my desktop for a few seconds, and then Origin comes back up.My gpu drivers are up to date, and I have also uninstalled/reinstalled along with repairing/verifying the games files. Please help :c

I too have a Razer Blade Stealth GTX 1650 model. So as for many others the game didn't launch properly.I've looked for solutions and found the source of my issues. This is related to some other programs and games that use Unreal Engine, not unique to Jedi Fallen Order. Here is a copy of the original post:There is currently a known issue that prevents the Epic Games Launcher from running on a class of processors(CPUs) that support the SHA-NI instruction set. This includes Intel Apollo Lake CPUs, Intel Ice Lake CPUs, and other CPUs that report SHA-NI in the same way.The fix for this issue has made its way into other Epic products and will be making its way to the Epic Games Launcher in the near future.Until the fix makes it out, a potential workaround to this issue is to set the following environment variable before starting the launcher:OPENSSL_ia32cap=:~0x20000000So what I did was, as told by the original poster, create a system variableOPENSSL_ia32capwith value:~0x20000000(exactly like this, all symbols are important, see attached image)Then restart your system. Worked like a charm after that for me.

Did this help you out? Some programs running in the background and anti-viruses can cause download issues with Origin if not added to the exceptions list. Let us know if this or anything else helped you out so others can find it useful.

When I attempt to launch the game the title banner comes up and then nothing happens. I cannot close the game.
Any help is appreciated.

I open Origin, click on the game, press play, and the attached image shows whats on my screen but that's all that happens. I waited for 30 min and else nothing happened. I went in and updated my graphics card driver, restarted my computer, and tried again only to get the same result. What should i do?

Same problem. Sitting here watching the monitor as if it's gonna start. Oh well, should've expected something like this... hope it gets some kind of fix anytime soon.
Update: If you start the exe file in the installation directory in administrator mode, it starts up without any problem for me. Don't know why though.

Does it launch if you temporarily disable antivirus software? There is an issue with some games on Origin where Avast and AVG falsely flag them. In that case, it's recommended to add exceptions for the game and Origin folders.
