Absolutely done

I find myself drudging through the combat of this game so I can actually enjoy the exploration parts.... but it's just so unenjoyable when you're fighting more than 2 things at once. A lightsaber has never felt so weak. Locked in animations, one-shot kill bosses that literally just one-shot you regardless of health-followed by a cutscene and long load and then walk back.

I have beaten this game, and I am no stranger to challenging combat games - have even put my time in elden ring/souls. But having like.... every enemy have a string of repeated unblockable attacks, and being locked into my own attack animations is just not fun. On top of their seemingly endless stamina/overshield meters that refill so fast that they might as well not even have a meter.  Just over and over and over, like I didn't want a souls game, and I didn't really want to feel like a lightsaber is just a shiny stick that gets outdone by literally everything.

The combat discourages me from playing at this point.... I find that I just dash spam past mobs so I can actually do what i'm there to do, because fighting more than 1-2 things is just unnecessarily punishing, and does nothing to reward.

I haven't even mentioned the effing Rancor, or should I say, 2 of them at once. Both of them spamming an unblockable one-shot KO move the entire fight. Right from the beginning... the first 2 times I tried, they tracked me as I was dodging and grabbed me within the first 2 seconds of the fight. Again, there is no rewarding part of the fight... you dont get anything at the end, it just happens, but the combat is not fun enough for it to be rewarding.

Yay, beat it. But no thx to NG+, which comes with very little incentive since the rare bosses don't reset. I really enjoyed the story and characters, but I loved it in spite of the combat... which makes up a large portion of the game, not because of it. Which is really sad, because.... people just want to be a jedi, we'd play souls if we wanted to play souls.
