Are DL-44 Blaster & Rebel Hero Lightsaber sets functionally different or skins?

I enjoyed Fallen Order and am thinking of picking up Survivor too now that it's on sale, but I need to know if the blaster and saber sets included in the Deluxe edition are more than just different skins, and if so, how they are different? I'd rather just buy the base game if they merely look different.

I had that strange suspicion, despite them not being listed as "cosmetic" like the rest of the items in the Deluxe edition. Seems like they're splitting hairs over something that I assume has various colors you can select, vs a static custom skin. BOTH are merely cosmetic to me. ☹️
