I don't have Twitter but I just made an account on here after lurking for weeks to add my two cents.
This is a GAME BREAKING ISSUE. If I had seen this forum and heard of this bug I definitely would not have bought the game. No communication or even the slightest indication to people that PURCHASED YOUR PRODUCT that you are supporting it.
I went my entire first playthrough with the bounties tab undiscovered. After the mission in chapter 3 Caij walked me through the whole deal and showed me the bouty tab. I don't know when it happened or how but it remained undiscovered as I rushed through the game quicker than I normally would. I got to the "Explore the Galaxy" quest and talked to her until I ran out of dialog and still broken. I only ever got the first mandatory puck and the one from holotactics.
So I rushed straight to NG+ without doing any of the normal completion stuff I typically would. Blew through the whole story again without paying much attention the second time (also abnormal for me) believing that if I got to that part in chapter 3 it would unlock the tab. Well I was right about that. The tab is there now, but it says I've completed 17/16 bounties and all are Xed out and Caij has no new dialog at all. Tried tracking the bounties anyway and after checking two of them came to the conclusion that no matter what I try this entire quest line and all of the achievements, collectibles, and blaster abilities are locked out of the game for me.
I've toyed with the idea of starting a whole new game but after perusing these forums I'm convinced it would be a waste of my time. And the sad thing is that after typing all of this out I'm realizing that this might also be a waste of my time.
I'm not feeling the EA acclaimed "SATISFACTION AND ACCOMPLISHMENT" that I was initially promised. This is by far the most disappointing thing that has happened to me in a game in quite a while because I enjoyed the game. But despite enjoying it, my enjoyment in the last 10 or so hours of play was smothered by the feeling that I wouldn't be able to enjoy it in a complete sense. And that is also not to mention that by doing research into this bug I've also effectively spoiled the ending of this quest line.
This has been reported for 4 weeks. They either don't care or have no idea how to fix it. You have no right to charge and extra $10 for a "NEXT GENERATION" title if you're not willing to put in the time and effort to make sure the people that PURCHASED YOUR PRODUCT get fulfillment from their purchase. Suffice to say, I feel like I took a risk because of the reputation EA has garnered since Battlefront 2. Despite hearing good things I still felt like I was taking a chance in getting this game. Regardless of if or when this is fixed I won't be buying an EA game until it's been out for at least a year since that seems to be when your games reach a playable state of completion.
