Can't cycle through enemies while using focus like target mode can

I love the new abilities use get using the focus button, (R1 on PlayStation) so was quick to get as many skill points into that tree as possible, and I can now confuse alot of tougher enemies into fighting along side me.
But when it comes to larger groups or groups with mainly droids, which cannot be confused, the game still tries to target them over the humanoid enemies that I would be able to confuse, and it becomes a game of fighting the targeting system into focusing the correct enemies... which clearly isn't ideal. The regular lock on feature gets around this by allowing you to cycle through all enemies within range, so a workaround is to lock on normally first, to select the correct enemy, but again sometimes that doesn't work. Maybe the enemies are on a lower level so the regular target system doesn't work, but somehow the focus one does... I've used this to my advantage many times to get the enemies to fight each other before I jump down, but then this issue presents itself again where I can't target the correct enemy.

So TL:DR the focus button should have the same functionality that the target system does where you can cycle through all enemies in range as currently you either have to make do with the game auto focusing (which it gets wrong quite frequently) or target first, then focus. but this isn't always possible.

  • @TheLankieMidgetseconded, I usually have pretty good luck doing the normal target first, but sometimes this game just breaks your lock for like no reason. So I'd like to be able to select enemies while holding the focus button and to also have the dpad buttons cycle through the stances while holding the focus button and setting it when you release.
