I don't know what causes this bug to occur, but it has happened multiple times now and the only fix I've come across is restarting the game. I'll be playing as normal and seemingly out of nowhere I can't put the lightsaber away, switch stances, and redirecting blaster fire back towards enemies no longer works. I can still block regularly. I can still interact with everything and this will sometimes force the lightsaber away, but this does nothing to remedy the bug as I still can't swap stances or pull out the lightsaber with directional inputs as though the left and right directional buttons aren't mapped at all. Stim healing and BD Scouting still work as normal.I've only had this bug occur with the base single lightsaber stance so far.

As an update, I tested this further and it seems to trigger when you spam saber throw and then run out of force meter. This is only with the dual saber, charged throw. If the force meter drains down to nothing and then you attempt another charged saber throw, it seems to trigger this glitch frequently.

The lightsaber currently equipped stance will remain active (saber ignited) indefinitely, and I am unable to change the stance with the directional pad on the PS5 controller at all. It also prevents me from using saber throw at all. How often does the bug occur? Occasionally (10% - 49%)Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? This one is hard to determine. I had this happen after using the “dancing blades” skill for the dual sabers. This skill allows you to charge and throw both sabers at once that then bounce between enemies. I would often get hit while changing the throw, with blaster fire, enemy grenades, or melee attacks. Thereafter, I found that I was “locked” in the dual wield stance, unable to change to another stance with the directional pad, nor was I able to throw my lightsaber at all. What happens when the bug occurs? Usually, I was in the middle of charging my saber throw with the dual lightsaber stance equipped. I had recently unlocked the “dancing blades” skill in the dual saber skills tree, which allows you to charge throw both sabers at once to ricochet between enemies. As mentioned, I would get hit while charging the saber throw with enemy fire, grenades, etc. It’s hard to say if it was the actual getting hit whilst charging the saber throw that caused this glitch to happen or if it was something unrelated, but I can tell you that this does happen during combat and the saber throw is somehow involved with triggering it. It does not seem to happen as a result of using melee skills/combos or force powers. Only saber throw, and more specially, the charging of the dancing blades skill with the dual sabers. What do you expect to see? Well, I would expect this not to happen, meaning I would expect to be able to use saber throw with the dual saber and not have the glitch occur that prevents me from switching saber stances/throwing the lightsaber. The glitch is triggered, then I cannot switch stances or throw the saber again. Resting at a mediation point does not solve the issue either. Fast travel does not solve it. I am permanently locked into only once stance and can’t throw the saber again. The only solution I have found is to exit out of the game and load back into my save. But I have had this happen numerous times, thus forcing me to exit the game and load back in on multiple occasions. I do not have any file to attach for the bug report. It occurs during gameplay, and I don’t not have any video footage unfortunately to upload.

Whenever I attacked with my dual lightsabers I would instead attack with the double bladed. When I changed to my secondary double bladed stance it attacked as normal. When I went to a meditation circle to see if changing stances would fix the problem I found that I was unable to change to the secondary stance, however the primary stance was no longer an issue.What do you expect to see? To be able to change between my two equiped stances like I was before, and when I can do that and not have stances overwritten like what happened initially I'll be happy.When I was playing I had dual lightsabers as my primary stance and double bladed as my secondary stance. After a while for a reason I could not determine whenever I attacked with my dual lightsabers I would instead attack with the double bladed. When I changed to my secondary double bladed stance it attacked as normal. When I went to a meditation circle to see if changing stances would fix the problem I found that I was unable to change to the secondary stance.

I have just encountered the same bug, except it only occurred once, and I couldn't recreate it. However, it seemed to fix itself whenever I visited a workbench and changed the materials. I'm unsure if the workbench or the materials solved it (it was probably the workbench). Anyway, I was stuck on the second stance, but after using the workbench, it automatically changed to the first stance, and I could switch stances after that.

This issue is still not fixed as of patch 6 that was just released today on the PS5. Disappointing. While this isn’t a game breaking bug, it’s still what I would consider rather serious. It’s occurring with relative frequency and completely prevents changing stances until you exit/reload the save. Here’s to hoping it will get addressed in another patch, but I’m losing confidence in that at this point.

Not sure it matters at this point, but this glitch can occur with ANY saber throw. Doesn’t matter if it’s dual saber stance or not. I just had it happen last night with the double bladed saber stance, so it’s not exclusive to the dual saber charged throw.

No I don't know about anyone else but I'm finding that the lightsaber breaks when you will run while having it out because every time I do that I can no longer put it away I can no longer switch stances and I can't deflect Blaster fire anymore so for anyone wondering that is why or at least that's been the case for me

I’ve just revisited this game after initial completion was done soon after release and am now dealing with this same bug. It’s been more than a year and a half since these posts were put up, how in the hell has this not been fixed? What was meant to be a fun redo of a game has turned into nothing but frustration.
