Crashing occurs in Koboh at or around the same exact point since updating to Patch 4.

Getting same crash when trying to change to a new area with Fog. Has done it several times now. On patch 4
I can confirm, I have set RT on and lower other settings, the game is running fine for at least half an hour. Instant freezing and Crashing lessened somewhat not fixed.

The game was 1000000% stable before the latest patch. Now I can only play 10 min before it crashes. What's wrong with these programmers and your QA team?? This stuff needs to be TESTED before pushing it out to the public.Now I can't even play this weekend because the programmers screwed up the game, and your QA team didn't catch this. People all over the steam forums are screaming about this issue.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game and even reinstalled my video drivers. Nothing is overclocked and all my temperatures are normal. No mods installed.
Game resolution: 2560x1440, epic settings, no RTX, AMD FSR disabled
No solution works. The game kept randomly freezing for me, but at least a quick relaunch of the game worked. Just make sure you dont die. I died to the rancor ok Koboh and can't even launch the game anymore, it just freezes as soon as i load. No fixes work.
Guess we can just wait another week or 2 for them to come up with another patch. Unfinished piece of * game. EA are actual scum for releasing this in this state. So is Steam for not refunding it just because the first chapter happened to work. EA knew what they were doing to avoid refunds i guess.
Fix the * game EA.
I have the same exact bug but happens either before or during this cutscene. I can't really find away around this crash either...I have a Nvidia 4080 and i9 13900k. Would love to know the epic conclusion to Cal's adventure but it's not looking in the cards right now. Good luck!
Before I could play stable in 720p and mostly on mid, now even on low it freezes frequently and has spots where fps drop considerably.
Anyone else experiencing worse performance with the latest update?
Btw is there a way to roll back to the patch 3?
Also getting consistent crashing since patch 4 on the "Rescue Zee" mission on Koboh. Going through the wall chokepoint to the lucrehulk swamp area will cause it to crash consistently at different points. Sometimes I can get past the cutscene, but it eventually will crash a minute or two later. I have tried adjusting all the settings (RT on/off, lowering to low/medium, FSR on/off etc.). Have a 3080Ti with a 5900X so my system is not limited by any means. I am now completely blocked from progressing the game with no workaround.
Edit: found a reddit thread where some were speculating that ultrawide and other non-standard resolutions were causing crashes. I switched to 2560x1440p for the sequence where I was crashing consistently when I had it set to 3440x1440p and was able to continue on and get to the next meditation point to save. This is obviously really hacky and annoying but at least unblocked me story-wise. Figured I would share in case someone else has a similar issue and might be able to use it as a workaround. They need to fix these issues asap!
Legit can't complete the 'Meet Cere's Contact' mission on Jedah since patch 4 as the game hard crashes to desktop endlessly during the fight after the jet trooper grabs you off the wall.
System running a 4090, 32gigs of 6000hz, Win 11, Ryzen 7 7700x.
This is the only game I play out of dozens of titles that has any issues. We know EA releases games 9 months from being finished - but this is just ridiculous. If this game hadn't come free with my mobo upgrade I would have gotten a refund on Steam.
Let us know when the game is actually ready EA and then we'll bother trying to finish it.
