DLSS interferes with FSR on OTHER DEVICES.
Product: STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor
Platform: PC
Summarize your bug
I mostly play Survivor on a desktop PC with an Intel Arc GPU (uses FSR). Sometimes I play it on my laptop with an NVIDIA RTX 3050 (uses DLSS 2.0).
I recently was playing on the Intel GPU and noticed really low framerates (30-40 FPS w/ raytracing on). Usually they are much higher. No matter what I set the FSR to, it stayed exactly the same. Because of some weird cloud-syncing of Survivor settings, Survivor turned DLSS on in my Intel installation, which deactivated FSR. I was unable to disable DLSS on my desktop, and had to start the game back up on my laptop and deactivate DLSS and get it to sync before it worked my the Intel PC.
How often does the bug occur? 100%
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? under the same account, start Survivor on a PC equipped with an NVIDIA GPU. Enable DLSS. Close the game, exit EA Desktop. Start another computer with AMD or Intel GPU. Try to change FSR and you will find that it doesn't do anything. It is disabled even though you've selected Quality, Balanced, Performance, or Ultra Performance.
What happens when the bug occurs? Nothing, no change in frame rates or graphics quality.1
What do you expect to see?
At the very least, DLSS/FSR settings should not be synced, or DLSS should not be able to be enabled on a PC that doesn't have an NVIDIA GPU.
Come on, why in the world is it necessary to sync settings between devices? If you play on multiple devices, this is a huge problem. I start the game on my NVIDIA laptop and it stutters around 15 FPS tops until I'm able to change resolution and all the settings to something it can handle. Fallen Order did not behave this way. Please disable this "feature," or give us the option to turn it off. It's more trouble than it's worth.
