@Col_Hstar, it's likely that there's an issue with your local cache of the EA app.
Please clear the cache and see if you can launch the game again.

I click "update", it almost instantly jumps to "Finalizing - wrapping up", then goes back to "Game update required". I have tried repairing the game through EA app and restarting PC but the problem still persists.

hey man just had this same problem, try ending the EA client through task manager and trying to run the game- worked for me
Cant Play survivor because update keeps being required.
The launcher prompted for an update, I let it download and run its course, it said finalizing and then a message came up saying the game has been updated and give option to launch. When I click launch it goes back to the EA app menu and says update required. this repeats over and over and over. I've tried 5 times with the same result. I tried doing a repair and it still goes back to saying it needs an update. TOTAL FRUSTRATION!!!!
Me too. Total pain. Come on EA sort it out. This release is so full of bugs

Clear cache in Ea App worked for me now i can find my game so basically this how u do it press the three lines - help - app recovery - clear cache and then login and watch ur library and then the game instantlöy pops up there lol
