I click "update", it almost instantly jumps to "Finalizing - wrapping up", then goes back to "Game update required". I have tried repairing the game through EA app and restarting PC but the problem still persists.

hey man just had this same problem, try ending the EA client through task manager and trying to run the game- worked for me
