Why does this game require you have more than 155GB free space on your hdd when its trying to update or repair the game?The game or EA App literally duplicates all the game files with XXXX_DIP_STAGE files which prevents the game to update or repair if you do not have over 155GB free space.The requirements is 155GB free HDD space. Not 310GB so why do we need to have 310GB free space for this game?

Accepting as solution for visibility purposes. Hi all, We are aware of an oddity with the EA app that occurs for players trying to update the game if they have already pre-loaded it last Tuesday or yesterday. When you try to download the small update released last night, which is about 2-3GB, and you do not have 125GB+ of hard drive storage space available, the update will fail and display an error. The extra 125GB+ needed is temporary and will be recovered after the update is completed. If the space is not available, a full uninstall and reinstall of the game will install the correct patch. My 100 gb download just restarted because of the new day 0 or day 1 patch.... any ways to fix it? my folder still say 100 gb.

I have Jedi Survivor preloaded and am streaming gameplay right when the game becomes available, but then I saw a notice in the ea app a bit ago that I need to preload, but I already have it preloaded and if i click on reload it reatarts the preload. do I need to redo it?

@Plushy_Tamer There was an update pushed for it that was around 2GB I believe. It was not a pre load again but just an update for release.

@EA_Shepard I can tell you now, that is just not true. every time i hit update it allocated another 150gb~ of disc space until it keeps telling you "out of disk space" all up it was trying to take over 300gb of space and still was trying to take more as i was freeing up more space. it ened up swallowing my entire M.2 SSD.
I had to uninstall and start from scratch this morning, now having to miss out on the launch time. what an absolute joke.
Same thing happened to my mate too,
First and last time i will be using EA Launcher for new release games.
Just to make things even more unbearable, the download speed struggles to go over 3Mb/s. every other launcher has not trouble hitting 14Mb/s. First time buying Pro, wont make that mistake again.

@Plushy_Tamer I'm having the same problem. I preloaded it two days ago and now when I went to play it the game was installed at 98%. It wouldn't install so I uninstalled it and tried to download it again. It won't download.

yes i literally had to uninstall the entire game and reinstall it because the EA app is too dumb to know it doesn't need 150 GB of space to simply patch the game.

Did you by chance have an error with the update and repair where it tries to redownload the entire game with an update??

I also tried to repair, double disk space. Is there an update patch for the pc before reinstalling, otherwise it is a waste of time to re-download the 150G space is too large

i'm not sure what you mean exactly, but i got this issue just from trying to download the patch for the pre-loaded game Thursday night. Had about 50 gb free and said I needed like 150, even though the game was fully pre-loaded. the error seems to happen when it's calculating space before the download even starts, but I could be wrong.
