How can i get ps button prompts through the ea app

Question

So i bought jedi survivor on the ea app and play with a playstation controller but i get xbox prompts. I have seen a lot of solutions for my issue but there is one slight problem, all the solutions I have seen are for steam. Is it even possible on the ea app did i make a mistake buying it here? please help me.

Hey @timodokter,Do you maybe have Steam open/running in the background when playing SWJS via the EA app with your PS controller? Also, with what kind of PS controller are you trying to play the game if I may ask?

@EA_Leeuw steam was running and i am playing with a playstation 5 dualsense controller

@timodokter, okay, could you try to close Steam when running the game via the EA app and see if you still get the other inputs?

I just tried to repro it myself with my EA app copy of the game, but saw the correct PS inputs as normal. 🤔

I assume you're connecting the PS controller to your PC via a cable, right?

@EA_Leeuwi will try when i get the chance to, and no i dont connect it with cable I connect it with bluetooth and use a program called ds4 windows. because as far as i know u cant use a ps5 controller connected via bluetooth without using ds4 windows?

@timodokter, ah well, there you have the issue. The game only officially supports the PS5 DualSense controller if you connect it via a cable to your system.

I would guess that the moment you connect the PS5 controller to your system with a cable, all problems go away.
