It has been almost a year since I pre-ordered the game, and I have yet to see anything past the startup logo's (before it crashes).
I thought giving the game 6 months might be enough time for the team at EA to fix this issue, but it seems the game will remain unplayable.
I was unable to get any refund on this game due to pre-ordering the digital version on the Xbox Series X (a console I purchased just to play this game) and it was past the allowed number of days while I waited for the bug to get fixed (which it never did).

I hope one day this game is fixed to the point that people can at least get to the main menu, but we will all be long dead of old age by that point.

Didn't work

For anyone who still has this problem. You probably have to load the game up 25+ times in order to get this to work. I did this by loading enough to get into the settings and change the graphics mode to performance. I think this might be due to a gpu issue with some series x consoles. After I did that the game worked perfectly fine throughout the whole story. I couldn't get past the loading screen for the longest time.
