Koboh Devastated Settlement: can't exit coupler

Product: STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor
Platform:PC
Summarize your bug In the Devestated Settlement on Koboh, every time I try to use the laser coupler, it won't automatically force me out of the coupler when I break the Koboh matter, I am stuck on the laser coupler and I can't get out of it.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go to the first laser coupler when you're doing the stone spires, place the orb in the coupler, and press "interact". Guide the coupler to the Koboh matter and break it.
What happens when the bug occurs? You are unable to exit the Laser coupler, and you have to leave the game (which doesn't save) and start the process all over again.
What do you expect to see? I expect to be forced out of the laser coupler once I'm done with it, and use the thermal geyser that's unlocked when you break the koboh matter.

Attached is the picture about the bug I'm experiencing.

  • After being stuck here for 4 days I stumbled upon this weird and seemingly AI written article.
Plugging in my old USB XBox360 controller to dismount the laser worked perfectly, maybe you got one lying around aswell 🤞

@Stillalivehorse (and @m0ll563wzirz if you never figured it out), try using the Dodge key or button.  If that doesn't work immediately, and you re-bound Dodge, try pressing the original key or button first, then the one you selected.

Summarize your bug After the devastation settlement meditation point, you must climb to a turret and place the orb to aim the laser at the koboh matter on the opposite side. Every time I enter the interaction, no button or control allows me to leave. I have researched and taken suggestions from other discussions, but they haven't worked. Even after the update, nothing has worked.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? The mission is Research Tanalorr on Koboh; next to the meditation point, we have to climb up rocks to get to the turret.
What happens when the bug occurs? No interaction or control allows you to exit, focusing the laser.
What do you expect to see? An interaction or button that allows you to exit the interaction.

Summarize your bug Cal gets stuck on the device on Koboh that is used for the removal of Koboh matter on the first geyser
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I don't know how many people are actively having this issue, but for me, I just went to do the puzzle as one would expect oneself to go about it. Also it doesn't matter whether I already have the force ball on top of the machine or not when I begin to use it, Cal still gets stuck
What happens when the bug occurs? Cal is unable to exit out of the machine. The only buttons or movement available to Cal is the mouse movement to swing the machine around. If the force ball was inside the machine at the time of interaction, the Koboh matter would disappear but still, Cal would be unable to break away from the machine. When I force exit the game, Cal ends up at the nearest meditation point again when I restart the game.
What do you expect to see? The input I chose or even the input they expected me to use, to work in exiting out of the device.

My main objective currently is to research Tanalorr on Koboh, and just after the fight scene with the first bounty hunter, when I try to do the puzzle that lets me clear the Koboh matter off of the first geyser, Cal gets stuck on the machine he has to clear away the Koboh matter away with. I tried resetting my hotkeys, as it was giving me a prompt to exit out of it (with x being my usual "interact" key) (I think they wanted me to press "E" if I remember correctly)

Edit: I have since found out that using the TAB key works in getting out of the softlock. Everyone kept saying it was the dodge button that gets you out of the softlock but if you have changed over your buttons, dodge won't work if dodge is any other button than TAB in this situation

  • For the PC go into the controls and bind a second key for the evade "F8" for instance. Exit out and use the new key.
