Summarize your bug Game freezes on Koboh right after the Gorge Crash Site meditation point and after the bedlam raider fight
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go on Koboh, keep playing until you find the first elevator (it's the first time I go there, so I don't know if there are any shortcuts), right after the elevator there's the Gorge Crash Site meditation point, which should be the first one you find on Koboh. In the same area there is a platform that you can reach with the grappling hook and on top of that there are some birds and a case, but when I try to open it the game crashes every time, same spot, same timing, during the animation of Cal opening the case. That's not the only place where it happens: if you ignore the case and keep playing, right after you defeat the bedlam raider and the droids there's a tunnel, go through it and when you end up on the cliff with the birds taking flight the game freezes again, and I can't ignore this part since the path is forced and I can't go around it. The latest patch (Patch 3.5) didn't fix the issue.
What happens when the bug occurs? The game freezes, but music and sound effects still play and they are not glitched, the game doesn't get any input, so even tho the audio is fine if I try to walk I don't hear Cal moving. Also pausing the game doesn't work, I have to shut it down through Steam.
What do you expect to see? The game should't freeze when you open the case or when you walk on the cliff, it seems like the birds are the common factor between the 2 places where the game freezes.
Before reporting it I tried these things:
- run both Steam and the game as an administrator
- verify the integrity of game files via Steam
- close everything in the background (I have 16Gb of ram which is the suggested amount for the game)
- Reinstall the DirectX as someone on another bug report suggested
But nothing worked
