Patch 1.03 didn’t fix the issue or fixed the frame rate, it made it even worse!
I've had the exact same issue too, during the Prologue and opening mission everything was smooth and 60FPS but as soon as the first boss encounter in Coruscant happened, frames dropped like crazy during cutscenes and second half of the fight and during the end custscene of the boss fight the frames dropped again making the cutscene lag and skip about a second of it.
Even when reaching the next planet or every cutscene after that boss, frames drop as soon as soon as another cutscene happens or when there's too much going on or whenever I exit buildings
This is still an issue even after the latest patch. Completely unplayable in certain areas.
Product: STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor
Platform:PlayStation 5
Summarize your bug Performance on ps5 is quite bad, clearly far from a stable 60fps and very grainy/muddy. Please help set our expectations straight with a rough estimate on how long until we can play at a locked 60fps with clear visuals (currently very grainy). Thank you
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? By playing the game on open areas and the prologue area (the yacht)
What happens when the bug occurs? Fps drops and muddy visuals
What do you expect to see? Locked 60fps on performance mode, along with clear visuals.
Fix these performance issues
Same for me, I can't play the game like this. Horrendously low frame rate and screen tearing in Performance Mode is pulling me out of the experience
Very low frame rate, choppy when turning the camera and screen tearing on top of that. Not at all what I expected when shelling out over £60 for a game. Never again am I going to be naive enough to buy a game on release
I just can't spend time playing the game when it runs like this, screen tearing in a modern console version of a game in unnacceptable.
Happens in all areas, low choppy frame rate when turning the camera and screen tearing. This is happening in the so called 'Performance Mode'. I am one who will always use Performance mode if it is avaliable in a game as I would always prefer a game to run smoothly rather than look marginally better, it feels like Im playing the game on an old PC with graphics settings its not able to deal with.
With the cost of games nowadays at the very least I expect the game to run propery, especially when it involves a giant IP like Star Wars being made by a company the size of EA/Respawn. I get games can have small graphical or texture glitches and sometimes big ones on release but performance of games I have played on a console has never been one of them
When will EA fix the issues on Star Wars Jedi Survivor. The game is unplayable in its current state on PS5. On performance mode the game barely gets over 45fps with dips much lower. The HDR implementation is a joke and the graphics look like my 3 your old did them. How this AAA game can be released in such a state is disgusting. But guess this is the new norm for EA as other games are released in a similar state.
Hi. In day 1 and after new patch 3.5 i still have issues with performance mode i ever make 60fps lock and i must use vvr to fix the problem plz. Fix the problem the fps some have 52 some times 40 and plz make it 120fps mode maybe this is fixed some problems with frame drops i thinking 🤔
I downloaded patch 4 around an hour ago and played the game from the beginning after installing it to see if there is any performance improvements, unfortunately on the performance mode it still has the exact same issues, the frame rate drops drastically at the same areas as before, especially near and inside the yacht during the first level and in Koboh in a lot of different areas, screen tearing is still there as well, unfortunately that means we will have to wait for the next patch if you like playing it on performance mode.
Edit: Newest update from my side, Patch 5, 6 and 6.5 didn't fix the issue, after downloading each of them I replayed the game from the beginning on each patch to test the performance and it is still the same, very unstable and low frame rates in a lot of levels on the performance mode with a lot of screen tearing, I bought this game on the day of the release for $70 and still till now 4+ months later not fixed, unbelievable EA, this is the last time I am buying any games from EA.
