How long we must wait for a performance patch for PS5/XSX?
The performance mode runs on PS5 so bad with screen tearing, stutter and low fps.
This is the worst performance mode from all games.

Summarize your bug All around horrible frame rate on ps5. Makes the game play and feel terrible.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? By playin the game on ps5
What happens when the bug occurs? Lagging, frame rate drops, picture distortion.
What do you expect to see? A patch to have this game running the way it should be on ps5
- The game looks ok in smaller areas but bigger areas like Kongo and Shattered moon make me feel like I’m playing Minecraft. Extremely pixelated, distorted, and laggy beyond control.
This really video says it all. Really want to enjoy the game but cannot in it's current state. The graphics issues and frames rates are sub-par. The ghosting and lack of anti-aliasing are severely distracting. This is playing on quality mode. Performance mode is even worse off.
When will this be fixed?!
Sadly it seems EA simply dont care. They have made there money through all of the pre-orders. People (including me) really need to stop pre-ordering games. This is the only way to stop publishers like EA releasing AAA games in what is even worse than an alpha state. They did the same with Battlefield 2042. Other publishers are the same although not as bad as EA.
Where is the EA representatives on this forum to provide feedback on when we can expect the next update and to finally fix the PS5 performance issues. It seems they use the public to do there quality assurance testing nowdays at £70 a game.
The screen tearing and frame drops are PS3 problems I though we'd left behind! This game is beautiful but so visually buggy I may wait to play it until EA fixes the problem.
I do get slightly better performance if I turn off performance mode and turn on my Samsung TVs Game Mode. Ironic that their "Performance" mode plays worse! You see amazing games like Horizon Forbidden West and then games like this and it's impossible to understand how poorly developed it is. The game looks awful and is unplayable. I would like to know how to make a legal complaint to Electronics Arts for being scammers. We are running the game on the latest Sony console, it's crazy that it works so badly!
This is the worst performing release I have personally ever experienced. I was really looking forward to this game, but it is unplayable. Without performance mode, the frame rate is not acceptable. With performance mode, there is way too much screen tearing. I got it for PS5 because I thought it would outperform my GTX1080 that I haven't gotten around to upgrading yet, but at least with my PC I could have probably tweaked enough settings to get it to be at least playable. This is pretty ridiculous.
I bought this PS5 for God of War. That game was beautiful and ran just fine the week it was released. There is no excuse for this.

Summarize your bug Screen tearing, POOR performance.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Simply play the game.
What happens when the bug occurs? Frame drops, screen tearing.
What do you expect to see? I expect to see a optimized game for my 75$.
I’m trying to raise more awareness towards this issue. I play the game for five minutes and I’m realizing that I’ve been robbed for my $76.50. PlayStation is unable to give me a refund due to me having started the game and they’re faulty content policy only works when the publisher acknowledges that there is a defect in the game.
so what are we to do? I understand that games have the box and that it takes time to fix them, having had a poor PC port lunch will they also take the time out and to optimize this game for us PS5 players?
it is impossible to let the devs know there’s no email there’s no phone number they only send you to this page, a forum where we talk about the issues of the game, but there is no help.
Perhaps a statement from the devs letting us know that they are aware of this problem and are working to resolve it. It would be a nice thing perhaps even a standard in this industry but no, they made their money and they ran with it.

Summarize your bug It is still juttery and stuttering with assets and textures not loading in until your right on it an sometimes not even then. There is just ALOT
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? That's easy all you got to do is turn on the game put it in performance mode and you'll be able to see how broken it is. Even resolution mode isn't that great
What happens when the bug occurs? As I have stated juddering and stuttering textures and assets either not loading in or loading in right at the last minute and even some severe and very low resolution
What do you expect to see? I expect to see a game that I invested in not to be broken and still broken months later. We are now in July. This is beyond unacceptable. I bought this game for the PS5. So on modern consoles no real excuses. I expect to see a stable FPS I expect to see much better Fidelity a. Resolution than I would have gotten with a PS4 Pro or an Xbox One X. I blame EA and there use of Unreal Engine. Unreal Engine has been proven to be trash it is made for unreal games that are not good. The moment you try to make a real game thats supposed to be good with UE this is what you get. This game could have been one of the absolute best games of 2023 up there with Spider-Man 2 and Assassin's Creed Mirage. But after months of waiting it's still not that much better.. EA suits need to be SHAMED
- There should be a lot of Shame. The people that run EA should either be demoted or severely fined for selling people a broken product with false advertising.. this was borderline a scam. As of this writing it is July 14th 2023 months after this game has released 6 patches in and it is still broken with the next patch(Patch 7) unknown to arrive and even with the next punch it is unknown if it's even going to be playable after patch 7. I hope you all know at EA what you all have done. This travesty will cost you later. Because the third game more than likely very few will pre-order or buy on release. Now I will say it has the absolute potential to be in astoundingly awesome game very this could have been Game of the Year Contender it could have been one of the best games released in 2023. But instead it's one of the most broken games released in 2023 enjoy taking peoples for broken stuff now because it won't happen again.. it's absolutely sad because this is the perfect definition of how a game could be so damn good but because of mismanagement and greed came out so damn bad
I’ve tried playing this game since launch on my PS5 but gave up months ago due to the amount of unresolved bugs post-launch. I’ve kept up to date on each patch and they’ve gotten gradually better but two main issues still remain. Frames dropping at random and terrible screen tearing. I check in on the game every week or so to see if the problem has resolved itself but it still hasn’t and it’s incredibly frustrating. Any time you move Cal around or just do anything fast, it screen tears very noticeably. I have no problem with any other game on my PS5 when it comes to screen tearing so I know it’s not my hardware. I have a PS5 with a WDSN850X 2TB SSD inside and I play on a 50” Sony X90J. They’re focusing on porting it for last-gen now which is incredibly annoying seeing as they still haven’t fixed the issues on current gen after promising for months that they would. I really don’t want to see this game plunge since the first one was so good. Regardless, is anyone else having this problem and does anyone know when they’ll fix it or if there is a fix for it currently?
EDIT: Just wanted to post an update after the newest patch, PATCH 7. I’m happy to say after this newest patch, every problem I’ve had including the screen-tearing and frame drops are no longer an issue. The only thing I will say is Cal’s movement still looks a little wonky and his face is sometimes very blurry but other than that everything works as it should. I have to say I’m very surprised EA actually fixed this. I lost all hope when they said they were focusing on the port for last-gen but now I can finally enjoy the game. I hope everyone else’s problems are now resolved as well and wish you all a great playthrough! May the force be with you!!
