Ray Tracing crashes game on Jedha

Product: STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor
Platform:PC
Summarize your bug If you have Ray Tracing turned on, the game will crash randomly while on Jedha, and usually only after a short while. I experienced some infrequent crashes on other planets, that don't seem to occur with RT turned off. The crashing on Jedha is 100% reproducible by simply turning on RT and moving around a few minutes.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Turn on RT on Nvidia card (I'm hearing that Intel Arc cards are no longer affected, and I've heard mixed stories about AMD cards, but 100% it affects Nvidia cards), then be on Jedha. Especially post-sandstorm. The crashes got worse for me, though it also crashed every single time a cutscene triggered while on Jedha with RT on.
What happens when the bug occurs? Game crashes to desktop with error.
What do you expect to see? The game not crash.

Specs:

  • Core i7 13700KF
  • 32GB DDR5-6000
  • GeForce RTX 4070 Ti
  • NVMe SSD

I have talked to multiple people with 30-series and 40-series cards who all experience the same issue.

Crashes go away if you turn off Ray Tracing. But that's not a solution to Ray Tracing being broken, so suggestions to turn off Ray Tracing will not be helpful.

  • There are multiple, existing posts like this one that indicate you need to (unfortunately) keep ray tracing off.
