This bug occured for me too when trying to play Apex Legends - yesterday it worked. I tried the repair function, cleared cache, run as admin, rebooted... Nothing changed. The only thing I didnt try is reinstall - but this so far didnt work for anybody who tried. One other game works. Any other ideas? Will I really need to install it on Steam instead?
I'm in the same boat. Just started today. tried all the things and nothing.
Having the same issue now. Was playing fine until I restarted my PC and now stuck in an update loop
@Sproutak Yep, same here - must be Apex wide.
@ITTimJones Frustrating isn't it! Got the same update loop in Apex, seems a load of us all experiencing it. Got to be a server side issue preventing the download from starting.
@EA_Leeuw Are you able to help escalate?
same issue happening to me as well. tried clearing the cache, uninstalling/reinstalling the EA app., and nothing worked so far - still just says 'update required' for Apex.
Uninstalled and reinstalled, cleared app cache, repair all didn't work for me.
Ran as admin and repeated the steps, didn't work.
My friend is able to launch the game but not me.
- @NoLimit_Ohtani Sounds like the servers has not been synced yet.
EA has an issue. Its simple way.. move to Steam, by moving Apex game into Steam\Common folder with changing folder Apex to Apex Legends, and by download from steam store a game. It take a minute w/o instaling a game, simple and works!
- It seems like EA might be nudging us towards transitioning to the Steam platform
This morning the update worked just fine, so the problem was on EA side.
Yesterday I tried almost everything, repair files, clean cache, reinstall EA-app etc...
