@nufc_uk Have you equipped the Purity perk? It's granted when you start a NG+ and, according to its description, dramatically increases damage in both directions. Perhaps it's not tuned properly for story mode.

@puzzlezaddictthat does appear to have been my issue, I didn't even notice that perk and it doesn't take any slots in my perks slots so i didn't even think about it. Even with double the damage it still seem a bit OP in the enemy direction . Thanks a lot for your help though.
