Applying update just now... also slow mo.... "Patient you must learn"  (who said that?)

Ridiculous.  Last update and I couldn't even play the game because it crashed at the "optimizing game files" screen and now the new update won't even complete the download.  I don't even know if this new update will fix my crash to desktop issue.

I have a very limited window where I can play video games due to young children in the house.  Very frustrating.  

Well I found you all here. My update for today continues to fly up to 200Mbs in a few seconds, then the download speed instantly falls off to just KBs then stops completely exactly at 207Mbs (11%). I have restarted computer, cleared the EA app cache multiple times (only advice EA provides on this), etc. Nothing is changing this. What do I do EA.... 

so instead of clearing the app cache again, I canceled the download when it failed and then immediately restarted the update. while still a good 40 - 50 Mbs slower than I typically can download games (including the first install of this), it seems to have broken the cycle and is working.
