Re: When is the next patch?

@bretttarr1979 youre right about fallen order today.
i played corusant and witnessing for my self the abysmal performance on the ps5 (especially compared to other non exclusive titles released on ps5 this year) the performance was straight up from the original ps5 trying to run GTAV in 2013.
ive decided to replay FO while i wait for a couple of patches.
and it was amazing. buttery smooth, responsive, and to be honest the environments didnt look different to survivor. (due to the super low internal render, you cant even see the next gen graphics).

BUT
when fallen order released it was a buggy mess too!
it ruined its lunch, it ruined its reputation.
only after years of patching and a lot of people getting it on 50-75% sales 1+y post lunch was it starting to get its reputation for the hidden soulslike gem and the best starwars story since the clone wars animated series.
at lunch it was literally the same deal.
you'd think EA and respwan would learn something over the years..

  • @NatahnB Agree. Didnt play fallen order on launch as only a recent conversion to Star Wars games. I would rather they take an extra month to fix the broken stuff and release a game that can perform well. I can accept bugs etc come up after release but not the level of performance and technical issues on release. Like the HDR bug, how can noone see that
  • @NatahnB Even with VRR on PS5 in certain parts of the map it becomes near unplayable or in heavy combat. Also the game does not support native VRR it only works in the compatibility mode for PS5. There is often screen tearing even with VRR enabled.

ill take an extra year for a game to come out polished and smooth as hogwarts legacy's launch.

heck even elden ring had a great day1~week1 experience even though it also needed a little patching in the first month for some bugs and performance (pc port was bad day 1 but not nearly as bad as this.)

jedi survivor is a second cyberpunk 2077. it needed 6m to a 1y more in the oven. QA seems to be non existent.

its always better to delay and have a good game than launch early and have reputation hit and bad news dip sales.

Good prediction - in 1 year they will remove Denuvo and it will work the way it was supposed to. That's what happened with Jedi Fallen Order.
