Stuck in Main Menu when clicking Continue or load games (PC Steam)

Summarize your bug I start the game up and on the main menu I click continue, it loads briefly and then puts me back into the main menu with my health bar. I can no longer play the game.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Open your game from EA or steam, click continue or load game.
What happens when the bug occurs? I am put back onto the main menu screen, I can click all the buttons still while having my health bar and other UI on the screen, when I click continue again the same issue persists
What do you expect to see? the actual game to be played and not the main menu.

I have restarted my computer, force closed EA and steam before launching and verified game files. This is not my issue, this is ea's issue. My game ran perfectly fine before the patch, no bugs no fps drops. They release this patch and now I just can't play the game I paid for.

Found a fix!! Had to come let you know.
go type in the windows search bar *C:\Users\*USERNAME\Saved Games\Respawn\JediSurvivor\
OR LOCATE YOUR SAVES

replace"USERNAME" with your username on your computer, you're going to then see it have 2 saves, your backup and your save game. Put your save game into a folder on your desktop but keep your backup and your gameusersettings in there. Then load the game up, when you hit continue/load your save it should work, it worked for me.

What happens when the bug occurs? The intro video plays and then I'm returned to the main menu.

The game won't progress past the starting menu. I click to start the campaign the intro video plays and then I'm returned to the main menu.

Use "Start New Journey" (the topmost option) instead of "Jedi: Fallen Order Story".

my game wont lode my save any more i go to continue and it lodes but it just takes me back to the man screen of the game IDK wot is going on with it. i have attached a pick on word to show what it looks like after i try and continue my save.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? It happens when I press continue to log into the game
What happens when the bug occurs? Every time I log in and press continue the game loads however I go back to the continue screen with the game overlay visible, i.e. I can see the light saber form display and it lets me go into the options menu in game then becomes unresponsive
What do you expect to see? I expect to see the game and not the continue screen

I cannot play the game or see anything other than the continue screen - which still has its functionality, I can press continue and it will reload to the same screen and I can press exit and it leaves the game. I have not tried any other options as do not want to risk corrupting my saved progress!

try search "jedisurvivor" on "this PC" to find the save files.
