Swamp Chamber

Hopefully someone can help me. 

I am stuck in the Swamp Chamber. 

I can get the material to the area where I need it but when I try to get to it to continue the trail it burns too quickly. 

I put a bunch of it around too. I can literally hear it burning faster as I'm running up the side steps for the platform to continue the material stream.

Any advice for this? This is my second to last one besides Devestated Chamber.
