Since EA and their team is completely useless when it comes to customer service. I'll update my own thread.
I've been able to partially resolve my problem, and by partially, I mean I have playable performances in most part of the game outside of the main Koboh area. A few annoying stutters persist but I generally get 60 FPS with only few short dips. Some areas of Koboh especially around the saloon are still a stutter fest dropping to 30 fps.
But the game "can" be played. It's still completely unacceptable for a company like EA to sell such garbage non-optimized games through.
TL;DR: For those having issue with higher end hardware, what improved the performance for me was the suggestion made by TheEvi1Twin on Reddit.
Even if like me you had rBAR enabled in the BIOS and expected the games to use it. Well this one turns it off by default. So you have to use NVIDIA Profile Inspector and modify a few registry entries in order to take advantage of the feature in game.
Try using the following values as per TheEvi1Twin suggestions
- rBAR - Feature = Enabled
- rBAR - Options = 0x00000001
- rBAR - Size Limit = 0x000000000C800000
- Optional: Shadercache - Cachesize = Unlimited
Some like Feature and Shadercache - Cachesize will probably already be set to the correct value but Options and Size Limit will probably need to be changed.
So anyone experiences issues with the game, give that a try.
