@RipsterDemon I had to try this three times to get the scan to work, using different locations and angles. So it's worth reloading and trying again a few times, maybe throwing the droid into a different wall instead of whichever one you've been using.
I went through and tried a couple more times and was able to finally get it. I had to take force carry the drone out of the control room and then the scan prompt stuck around long enough.
This worked! Wow, thank you so much. This was really frustrating me. Force carried it back to room I came from and scanned like a charm.
