A few patches released already - more to come, I'm sure.
If you are having specific issues, probably a good idea for you to search this forum for them. If you don't see an existing post, create a new post for each issue you have. Someone may know a fix for you.
On PC there are still low GPU utilization problems with bad frame time and stuttering. The game is such a mess that if I play on the lowest graphical settings possible, instead of gaining more performance, the GPU utilization drops even more to deliver the same bad experience.
So much time has passed and all we have are just promises that those issues will be fixed in the "near future". What the sticks near future means for them? An entire year?
Not a fun fact: respawn started porting the game for old Gen consoles.
Doesn't feel like it will be fixed or addressed at this rate. There's things that have been broken from day 1(yes I've reported the issues and missing things, and so have others, before any mods mention reporting the issues); it's disappointing that some of the broken things from day 1 are accessibility features(kind of makes playing hard to impossible for certain disabled gamers). Poor optimization is still an issue for all platforms. The last patch was July 18th, which they admitted was a small patch but another would be out shortly... who knew over a month and counting was "shortly." Then some that last patch EA announced they would be porting the game to PS4 and X-Box One, which originally they claimed wouldn't happen because those consoles couldn't run the game/handle it.... I guess that was a lie, and they have to squeeze a much money from the game as possible.
If the game runs this poorly on current gen and PC still, I hate to see how it runs on last gen consoles. I guess nothing was learned from the Cyberpunk release.
I honestly loved Respawn, but how this release has been handled, it's been impossible to defend them on it. The lack of communication has really exacerbated the issues.
Agreed. The communication is abysmal. If they actually plan to continue support the game and fixing the issues we all readily observe, they need to publish a roadmap and a list of planned fixes. If they can optimize the game to run on last-gen consoles, then they can optimize it to run better on current-gen. Their post-release customer service is embarrassing and is a bad look not only for Respawn/EA, but for the star wars franchise in general.
