After having to reinstall directx and c , now having connection failures
I had to install directx and c++. Got the game running. Today had to reinstall directx and repair c++. Now I'm getting connection failures

as with any connection issues , reboot the router / modem and remove and re-add the game to your exception list for the antivirus and firewall
if playing wireless , connect to the modem by cable and see if it persists
