Artifact Authorization bug?

Just a note that this issue is still unresolved as of today.

Are they still looking into this?  I'm wary about starting new characters because I'll have to be stuck with unmoddable weapons.  The max/minimum damage is tied into the hilt or barrel.

The last word was that they were looking into this.  My guess is that having to fix the "Free Level 60" thing put other issues on hold for a while.

For myself, I've adopted a program of dispassionately reminding them once a week that this is still a problem. 🙂

I have previously purchased account equipment unlock and have previously subscribed too

yet on some of my characters it says on all of their equipment that i need to purchase authorisation,

on other chars it says i need to purchase authorisation for some pieces of equipment but not for others

on other characters it says i am authorised for all pieces (by previous subscription no mention of me actually having used the equipment unlock that was bought on your cash shop last year!!)

what on earth is going on? when will this be fixed???

Likely in a few hours some artifact fixes are in todays patch

thanks, that only mentions colour crystals and mods, i am talking about entire pieces of gear too

It appears that today's patch has fixed the Barrel/Hilt Artifact Authorization bug. I checked Republic Fleet, Coruscant, and Taris with 4 characters (TR, JK, JC, SM) and checked all Mod Vendors at each location. All Resistive and Versatile Barrels and Hilts no longer require AA.

Thank you Bioware for fixing this very discouraging and nasty bug. Most appreciated.

It is not fixed, i still have issues on every character, some telling me i am not authorised for some pieces of my gear some for all of my gear!!! even though i have used a cartel market account unlock in the past and i have subscribed in the past too.

The barrel/hilt problem is indeed fixed.  However, all of the Trainee items from the fleet vendor (which require an Armor mod) still require artifact authorization, unfortunately.

As do the many other items I am apparently with no permission to use even though they are equipped and I have used a account unlock too.

No logic behind it when some of my characters have some equipped items showing as having permission and others saying I have no permission. I fear bioware wont be fixing my characters any time soon.
