Black Screen and System Restore Required

I'm having an issue with the game. Every time i try to start the game from the launcher i get a black screen with a few seconds of sounds and then my PC will freeze up and can't tab out or use task manager. Also if i try to restart the PC i can't seem to start up windows and i need to do a system restore each time i try to start the game. SW:TOR is the only game i have this issue with it. I've read on the forums regarding the black screen issue about updating all drives and adding a firewall exception which i have done. Also something regarding about letting the game roll for some time on the first launch, but after letting the game on for about 2 hours i haven't noticed any change and i still require to do a system restore after i restart my PC. As far as the Windows i'm using, i have Windows 10 Pro ( latest update from 07/10/2019 ), and for the hardware :  CPU: Ryzen 3 2200g , GPU : Integrated Radeon Vega 8, Ram: 8GB DDR4.

    Create an override with CRU and just list the native resolution for that TV , TVs usually have errors in the edid, see if that resolves the issue currently

    also you can also set the game to try and start in window mode per below

    Press the [Windows] Key + [R] at the same time

    Copy the following in to the text box and press ok

    %localappdata%\swtor\swtor\settings

    Open the client_settings.ini file in notepad and ensure the following are displayed within

    Fullscreen = false
    D3DFullScreen = false
    RefreshRate = 60

    Check NativeHeight, NativeWidth, Height and Width ( all 4 ) match your monitor resolution.

    Save and close the file.
    Start the game as normal.
    Change graphic settings within the game as desired.

    Are you able to plug a different monitor then the TV ?

    Test by changing monitor , reboot the PC then start the game see if the same occurs ?

  • Sadly, i can't connect any other monitor to my PC. I own an old monitor but it has VGA port and my PC only has an HDMI port which i use to connect to my tv.

  • It seems i found out why this problem started. The game didn't create the client_settings.ini file so it didn't load any settings to begin with, causing the black screen and a never-ending error to load the game and confusing windows and the need for a system restore. I created the file in notepad and then changed the file name to that of the required file and now the game loads up fine.
