Solved

Cannot log in to my swtor account

I have my Display name and password.

I have the old security key that came from the collector's edition.

I have not logged in in years.

I realise I needed to get the new mobile security key.

I placed my serial from the Origin platform but the app will not accept it.

please help.

Tony

  • It's been a few years since I last played, so I thought I'd just recover my password via email.

Forgot I needed the security key and I haven't had that app for years.

It's not giving me the option for a 1 time password to bypass not having my security key.

    Do I need to call?

User is kittencleave if you can do anything about it on your end.

  • I had an account i played for about 5 min back when old republic first came out, I'm trying to re-log in and I have access to the original email but not the app to retrieve my security key. As stated I no longer have the password for the SWOR account either so I can't change my password to get access to my account since it keeps asking for the security key to do so. Will i have to call to get access or is there an email i can chat through to get help.

thanks for the reply. no the link does not show. It just says security code required.

  • I deleted the steam installation and also the origin install.

I called Swtor.com and asked them to remove the security key

I managed to log in to the website and I was sent a one time password

I downloaded and installed a fresh game from my account.

Now I can log in to the account and play!

I logged out and went to my account to subscribe.

After an hour, I tried to log in again. (note that it already worked previously)

now after entering the display name and the password it went to the next screen where the game is initialised.

now I get a message saying "This application has encountered an unspecified error. Please try this patch again."

I keep trying but get the same message.

    This never ends!

I just tried deleting the bitraider directory (actually I placed it in a temp folder, just in case)

    and rebooted the computer

the launcher now went through a verification process and after a few minutes I am in as a subscriber!
